區(qū)別：

want v. n. 想要，需要。 v. 通緝，追捕 He is wanted man. 他是被 通緝的人。

desire v. n. 渴望，希望，強(qiáng)烈的欲望。比want 更正式，更強(qiáng)烈。一般不用進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)、祈使句。

hope v. n. 希望，期望。表示主觀上的愿望并對(duì)其實(shí)現(xiàn)抱有信心。

wish. v. n. 但愿，愿望。常表示祝愿，或者不太可能實(shí)現(xiàn)或根本不可能實(shí)現(xiàn)的愿望。

look forward to 期待，盼望，等待。后接名詞或動(dòng)名詞。表示等待，盼望某事發(fā)生。

expect v. 期望，指望，預(yù)料，預(yù)期。指對(duì)將要發(fā)生的事，或認(rèn)為要發(fā)生的事的期待。

表示實(shí)現(xiàn)愿望的可能性不大或根本不可能時(shí)，從句用虛擬語(yǔ)氣。
